Gunnar's Wedding: The Aftermath

After Gunnar's wedding, players can speak with the guests who attended the ceremony. They can then talk to Randvi, who will be standing alone near a tree, and offer to keep her company. Following this, players can walk with Randvi to a secluded spot by a stream and listen to what she has to say. If players have not already started a romantic relationship with Randvi, they can choose to do so at this point. The quest ends after this.

The wedding ceremony

With everyone present, Eivor walks from where she is standing to where Brigid and Gunnar are beneath the archway. She silently asks if she can proceed, and Gunnar nods in firm conviction. Eivor then addresses the couple:

> I am honoured to stand before you, Gunnar, Brigid, on this bountiful day. To celebrate the strength of your bond and see you wed. I am in witness of a love that inspires and empowers. I invite you, now, to speak your vows.

Gunnar and Brigid then turn to each other and begin to speak their vows. Gunnar offers Brigid a sword, saying:

> To you, my darling, Brigid, I offer this blade, forged in flames that burn as brightly as my heart does for you. A blade as sharp as your wit, as glinting as your beauty. May it sing through the air as sweetly as your voice meets my ears.

Brigid responds:

> Gods, how I adore you, Gunnar. I am ever so lucky to have found you, my love.

Gunnar continues:

> And I you. I give you my sword and my promise that I will stand at your side forever.

Brigid then presents Gunnar with a bracelet:

> Let us fly together, through this life and beyond.

Gunnar and Brigid exchange bracelets, and Brigid says:

> And I will wear it with love, adoration, and faith everlasting.

Gunnar concludes:

> This is the greatest day of my life! Embrace me, my love!

The couple kiss as the residents cheer. Eivor then addresses the guests:

> With our couple now bonded in matrimony... now we drink!

Eivor speaks to guests

After the wedding ceremony, Eivor mingles with the guests, first approaching Alvis, who says that he wanted to serenade the newlyweds but could only think of insults and jibes. Eivor then speaks to the bride, Brigid, welcoming her to the clan and family, and expressing happiness at having her. Turning to Gunnar, Eivor jokes that they never thought they would see the day he became a married man, to which Gunnar replies that it wasn't for lack of trying.

Eivor then speaks to their brother, Sigurd, about the strange feeling that weddings are the beginning of something, but that this feels like an end. Eivor then asks Hytham about the marriage customs in his country, and he replies that they are similar in all the most important ways—smiles, cheers, and warm embraces. Eivor then asks Reda if they are ready to settle down and make a home in Ravensthorpe, to which Reda replies that perhaps they will stay for a year or two, but that they are a wanderer, always searching and never finding.

Eivor then thanks Valka for all she has done, saying that their visions have lessened and that they feel grounded, unified, and at peace. Finally, Eivor speaks to Randvi, who takes her for a walk by a small river, where they discuss their feelings for each other and Randvi reveals that she and Sigurd are separating.

After Gunnar's wedding, Eivor and Randvi walk and talk. Randvi reveals that she and Sigurd are breaking up, and that her heart is with Eivor. If the player has not already started a romantic relationship with Randvi during the "Taken For Granted" quest, they have the option to do so now. Eivor can choose "I am in love with you", and the two will become a couple. Alternatively, they can choose "I am grateful for you", and remain friends.

Eivor and Randvi's conversation takes place by a secluded stream. Randvi tells Eivor that she knew, from the day they set out from Norway, that Eivor would make a better leader than Sigurd. Eivor replies that Randvi might have warned her. Randvi says that Eivor wouldn't have listened, but that she hopes Eivor sees it now, in all that she has done for her. Eivor replies:

> Randvi, you and the people here have done more for me than I could ever repay. I am honoured by your faith in me. And your confidence.

To which Randvi replies:

> As I am honoured by your love.

Eivor responds:

> And I by yours.

Randvi and Sigurd's separation

Now, anytime the player talks to her, they can say, "Let's go to Grantebridgescire." When she agrees, the Taken For Granted quest will begin. During the subsequent quest, the player will ride with Randvi to Grantebridgescire, raid a camp together, and compete in a drinking contest. Throughout it all, the player will learn a lot more about Randvi. Afterward, they'll both head to a tower, where Randvi will talk about the problems she has with her marriage. Then she'll kiss the player character and confess how much she cares for them. The player can then choose from three options: "I feel the same way," "Now is not the right time," or "I care for you as a friend."

If the player chooses "I feel the same way," it will anger Sigurd and may affect the ending of the game. Choosing "Now is not the right time" will allow the player to avoid drama and still be with Randvi later in the game, during Gunnar and Brigid's wedding. At the wedding, the player will go on a stroll with Randvi, where she will talk about her marriage with Sigurd coming to an end. The player can then confess their love for her, and she will reciprocate, confirming the romance. Since she and Sigurd are broken up, he will not mind.

Randvi and Eivor romance

Gunnar's wedding is seemingly the end of the game, with no credits or indication that it is over. However, there are some side quests and other activities that can be completed after the wedding.

The "Taken for Granted" quest allows players to decide whether to take their relationship with Randvi further or keep it platonic. The decision will impact the ending of the game. During the quest, Eivor and Randvi leave Ravensthorpe to see the sights and eventually start chatting, with Randvi sharing her feelings about her life. Players can choose to reciprocate her feelings, leading to a romantic relationship. However, as Randvi is the wife of Sigurd, Eivor's brother, this choice will negatively affect the ending and your relationship with Sigurd.

To avoid a negative ending, players can choose to remain friends with Randvi or wait until after Sigurd and Randvi divorce to pursue a romantic relationship. This can be done during Gunnar's wedding, where Randvi will take Eivor to a secluded place and confirm her divorce. This option allows players to romance Randvi without impacting the ending or upsetting Sigurd.
