Today, we are gathered here to celebrate the union of my brother, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. It is a true honour to stand here as Prince Harry's best man—or, as is traditionally said at royal weddings, his "supporter". But Harry, as you so often are, you were ahead of the game and broke with tradition by asking me to be your best man. For that, I am incredibly grateful.

As many of you know, Harry and I are incredibly close. We have been by each other's side for as long as we can remember, and I can't think of anyone else I would rather have as a brother. Growing up, we shared so many wonderful moments and built memories that I will always cherish. From a young age, Harry always had a mischievous streak, and I remember one time in particular when... [embarrassing anecdote about Harry]. But, as we grew older, Harry matured and channelled that mischievousness into a passion for life and adventure.

I remember when Harry first met Meghan. He couldn't stop talking about her and the spark he felt when they connected. I knew from that moment that she was someone special, and I am so happy that they found each other. Meghan, you are an incredible person, and I am so pleased to welcome you into our family.
