Kai's spouse, Greg, rips up Kai's wedding dress in a video

In the video "Trying On My Old Girl Clothes", Greg rips up Kai's wedding dress. The couple, who have been together since early 2012, had a tumultuous relationship marked by public fights and fake breakups. Kai, previously known as Lainey or LaineyBot, is a trans man and goes by he/him or they/them pronouns. He discovered Greg online and began tweeting at him obsessively while Greg was having relationship issues with his then-fiancé. They began privately dating in February 2012, with Greg later proposing to Kai over Skype. They were married through the New Mexico court system in November 2012 but did not have a wedding until 2013.

Kai has not posted publicly on the internet since December 2019. In the past, he has made appearances in Greg's videos and livestreams, although he disliked being filmed. In 2015, Kai created a LaineyBot YouTube account, but he seemed uncomfortable and quiet in the videos. Many viewers speculated that Greg was actually running the channel, as the video descriptions and titles were more similar to Greg's writing style.

Kai announces he identifies as a trans man

In 2019, Kai, previously known as Lainey or LaineyBot, announced that he identifies as a trans man and goes by he/him or they/them pronouns.

Kai is the spouse of YouTuber Greg, also known as Onision. They have been together since early 2012 and married in November 2012. Kai's transition was not linear, and he has expressed that there is no guidebook for transgender people. He has also said that there are no books on dating trans people, unlike heterosexual relationships.

Kai's transition was supported by his parents, who helped him choose his new name, and his camp friends. He began using he/they pronouns at a two-week sleepaway camp, where he also slept in the boys' bunk for the first time. His bunkmates were supportive, and he even started dating someone from the girls' bunk. Kai's testosterone was approved, and he was cheered on by his friends, which was a great form of validation.

Kai and Greg get matching tattoos

Kai and Greg, who have been together since early 2012, have gotten several matching tattoos over the years. On October 24, 2012, Kai tweeted about getting his first tattoo, which was going to be his lucky number. He later posted a picture of his new "27" hip tattoo to Instagram, revealing that he and Greg got matching "27" tattoos to commemorate the day they started dating, February 27, 2012.

Kai is killed by his twin sister, Jo, at her wedding

Driven by his desire to become Coven Leader, Kai killed four of his siblings, sparing Jo, as he knew he needed her to complete the ritual to become leader. Their father, Joshua Parker, managed to imprison Kai in a purgatory dimension, where he remained for 18 years.

Upon his escape, Kai continued his pursuit of power, attempting to murder Liv and Luke. Jo, however, protected them. Knowing that she would be the one he would need to merge with, Kai refused to kill Jo immediately. Eventually, Jo and Luke were able to escape Kai by transferring their unborn twins into the body of Caroline, another member of the coven.

On her wedding day to Alaric, Jo's eyes widened as she looked down at her stomach, only to see blood spreading across her wedding dress. Kai had stabbed her multiple times. With a knife covered in his sister's blood, he smiled, before turning his attention to the wedding's attendants, inflicting a massive aneurysm on them and destroying most of the church's windows and fixtures by producing high-frequency sound waves.

Kai is a seasonal visitor to Mineral Town

Kai's schedule is mostly consistent throughout the week. He starts his day at Dudley's inn, arriving at the beach at 8 am, then he's in his shop from 11 am to 1 pm, and outside until 5 pm. He serves another meal from 5 pm to 8 pm, then returns to the inn for the night. On Sundays, he stays at the inn all day, except for a small break to visit the beach from 1 pm to 4 pm, unless it's raining.

After marrying Kai, he will stay in Mineral Town all year. He will open the beach snack shack every day except Sundays. On his day off, he will start his day inside the farmhouse, visit the beach in the afternoon, and then return home.

Kai's birthday is on Summer 22 (primary) or Summer 17 (alternative). Players can earn a bonus of +2500 LP by buying a total of 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 dishes from Kai's menu (water does not count).

There are various events and interactions players can have with Kai throughout the game, which can increase or decrease their Love and Friendship Points (LP and FP). These choices can ultimately lead to marriage.
