Catelyn's resurrection

Catelyn Stark's violent end at the Red Wedding is not the end of her story. In the books, her body is dumped into the Green Fork of the Trident River, and several days later she is found by the Brotherhood Without Banners. They resurrect Catelyn, and she becomes the vengeful Lady Stoneheart.

Lady Stoneheart takes leadership of the brotherhood and kills Petyr and Merrett Frey. During the siege of Riverrun, she also gets hold of Robb's crown.

In the TV series, Catelyn's corpse is desecrated and flung naked from the battlements of the Twins into the river to rot.
