Will Ferrell's casting in the 2005 comedy film *Wedding Crashers* was so last-minute that the filmmakers had to shoot all his scenes in one day. "Yeah, you need to sell the movie but you've also got to leave an experience for people and something for them to discover." Dobkin asked reviewers not to mention Ferrell's cameo, and they complied.
Ferrell's appearance in *Wedding Crashers* was uncredited, but it was not his only uncredited role that year. He also had a cameo in the big-screen version of *Starsky & Hutch*, starring Wilson and Ben Stiller.
