Mario must traverse the moon's surface with lowered gravity

In the Super Mario Odyssey game, Mario must traverse the Moon's surface with lowered gravity to reach a hole in the Quiet Wall that will take him to the Underground Moon Caverns. The low gravity enables Mario to jump higher, farther, and remain in the air for longer.

Mario must first capture a Parabones to fly over the next set of platforms. He then has to capture a Sherm to destroy a steel cage protecting a spark pylon. Alternatively, Mario can stand in front of the cage and let the Sherm's bullet destroy the cage. After this, Mario must activate a ground-pound switch to make a platform advance and capture a Hammer Bro to break through the dirt walls. In the next section, Mario must capture a Tropical Wiggler to get around a large fence.

Mario then has to capture a Banzai Bill to cross a large lava pit, destroying breakable blocks along the way. He must then activate another ground-pound switch to make invisible platforms appear and quickly cross them with the help of a Moe-Eye. In the next section, boulders roll down narrow bridges, preventing Mario from ascending further on his own. To cross them, he must capture a Chargin' Chuck to charge through the boulders and reach another spark pylon.

He must reach the Underground Moon Caverns

To reach the Underground Moon Caverns, Mario must first make his way through the moon's surface with lowered gravity. He must reach a hole in the Quiet Wall, which will take him to the caverns.

In the caverns, Mario must navigate dangerous enemies and obstacles. He must capture a nearby Parabones to fly over the next set of platforms. He must then capture a Sherm to destroy a steel cage protecting a spark pylon. Alternatively, Mario can stand in front of the cage and let himself be shot at by the Sherm; he can then move out of the way and let the bullet destroy the cage.

In the next section, Mario must activate a ground-pound switch to make a platform advance, and capture a Hammer Bro to destroy the dirt walls in his path. Mario must then capture a Tropical Wiggler to get around a large fence. He must then capture a Banzai Bill to cross a large lava pit, destroying breakable blocks along the way.

Mario must then activate another ground-pound switch to make invisible platforms appear. He must quickly cross these platforms with the aid of a Moe-Eye. In the next section, boulders roll down narrow bridges, preventing Mario from ascending further on his own. To cross them, he must capture a Chargin' Chuck and use its shoulder charge to get through the boulders safely.

Mario then reaches the cavern's exit, which is blocked by Madame Broode, who challenges him to a battle. After defeating her, Mario can proceed.

Mario must defeat Madame Broodal

In Super Mario Odyssey, Madame Broode is the secondary antagonist and one of the bosses. She is the leader of the Broodals, a group of evil, rabbit-like wedding planners hired by Bowser to plan his forced wedding with Princess Peach.

Mario first encounters Madame Broode in the Cascade Kingdom. She is found at the top of the falls, guarding a Multi-Moon that Mario needs to power the Odyssey. When Mario confronts her, she refuses to hand over the Multi-Moon and decides to attack him. Madame Broode's pet Chain Chompikins, a golden Chain Chomp, attacks Mario on her command. Mario must capture Chain Chompikins and use it against Madame Broode. After three hits, she is defeated and disappears, leaving behind the Multi-Moon.

Mario encounters Madame Broode for the second and final time in the Underground Moon Caverns in the Moon Kingdom. This time, Chain Chompikins wears three hats, and Madame Broode attacks Mario more aggressively. The strategy to defeat her remains the same as the first battle. After three hits, Madame Broode is defeated for good and disappears, leaving behind sixteen coins.

If Mario returns to the Underground Moon Caverns, Madame Broode will respawn, allowing Mario to battle her again.

Bowser and Peach are in the Wedding Hall

The Wedding Hall in Bowser's Moon Kingdom is stunning, with its pure white aesthetic. As Mario bursts through the inner doors, he sees Bowser and Peach fighting over a giant ring. Characters from Mario's previous adventures are there as guests. As Mario confronts Bowser, the Koopa king sends Mario onto a battlefield and the final showdown commences.

Mario must interrupt the ceremony by hitting the hat door a few times. This will initiate the final battle with Bowser, which plays out similarly to the fight in the Cloud Kingdom. Bowser throws his hat at Mario, who must counter by throwing Cappy at it to knock it to the ground. Mario then runs into it to put it on himself. Bowser jumps around the edge of the arena, creating a shockwave. When Bowser stops, he throws boulders at Mario, which can be broken by attacking with Bowser's hat. When Mario gets close enough, he begins attacking with a flurry of punches. When Bowser is damaged, he jumps into the centre of the arena and breathes fire, sweeping it from side to side.

In the next phase, Bowser spawns more hats to throw, and Mario can either throw Cappy at the fakes for hearts or focus on hitting Bowser's hat. Bowser then throws flaming spiked shells, which Mario must dodge. He follows this with normal boulders, and Mario can then continue his assault. Bowser does two tail sweeps this time, back-to-back, and the second hit is confirmed.

In the final phase, Bowser has a flame breath attack that lasts longer, and he creates even more phantom hats to throw. Once Mario gains control of his hat, Bowser throws continuous flaming spiked shells, so Mario must keep dodging until he gets close enough to deal the final blow.

Mario must escape the collapsing caverns

Mario must move forward at all times, as the pathway ahead is lined with space cubes that turn yellow and begin to fall when stepped on. He must also watch out for falling debris, which will shatter into pieces and keep rolling, so he must claw them apart and jump to avoid being crushed.

Mario must then make his way to a giant blocky pillar and strike it as fast as he can while dodging falling boulders. With enough attacks, the pillar will fall, creating a walkway. This leads to an 8-bit mural, and Mario must use Bowser's fire breath to destroy large blocks and create platforms to jump on. He must make his jumps count, as falling down the pit will force him to start the escape from the beginning.

Once Mario reaches the end of the mural, he must jump up quickly as the stone will break apart. He must then burst through the next wall and make his way to the final section of the collapsing caverns. Here, he will find a large space cube in the middle, surrounded by four large pillars and tiles of space cubes, with falling debris all around. Mario must break each of the pillars to make them crash into the centre, but he must be careful not to step on any cubes as he will lose ground. He must take a counter-clockwise approach to avoid doubling back onto crumbling ground. When striking the pillars, Mario must keep moving from side to side to avoid the falling boulders. As more pillars fall, more debris will fall from above, creating more boulders to slash apart and more pitfalls to avoid.

When the last pillar falls, Mario must finish the job by striking the large Moon Rock in the centre. This will reveal a Spark Pylon, which he must use to escape the collapsing caverns.
