Angela And Wesley's Wedding Day

In the Season 3 finale of ABC's The Rookie, Angela Lopez goes missing on her wedding day to Wesley Evers. Lopez, who is pregnant, is kidnapped by the recently escaped drug cartel leader, Sandra de La Cruz, also known as La Fiera. La Fiera's prison transport was intercepted, and she is set free, seeking revenge on Lopez, who she blames for her son's death. Jackson's death is upsetting for fans, as he was one of the primary protagonists since the show's first episode. They learn that Sandra de La Cruz ("La Fiera") has taken Angela back to her compound in Guatemala, where she plans to hold Angela captive until her baby is born and then take the baby away from her. Knowing that Angela's life is in danger, the team decides to travel to Guatemala to find her.

In Guatemala, Nolan visits an architectural firm and manages to steal the plans for La Fiera's compound. However, they realize that the compound can't be penetrated with their current strategy, so they decide to go with "Plan B". Plan B involves Wesley, Angela's husband-to-be, injecting her with medication to induce labour and get La Fiera to take her to the hospital, where the team can rescue her.

Meanwhile, Chen and Grey stay behind in Los Angeles to track down Jackson's killer. They find the perpetrator, a 17-year-old recruited by La Fiera, and arrest him.

In Guatemala, Angela goes into labour, and La Fiera takes her to the hospital as planned. Bradford and Harper launch an offensive against Angela's captors at the hospital and manage to rescue her. As they race to meet the helicopter that has landed outside the hospital, La Fiera catches up to them and fires at Angela, hitting her in the leg. Angela turns and fires back at La Fiera, killing her.

Nolan, who has been following Wesley, ambushes the thugs holding him captive and helps him escape. They run to catch the helicopter, which makes an unplanned stop outside the orchard where Wesley was being held.

In the end, Angela and Wesley safely welcome their baby boy and name him Jackson, after their deceased friend.

He told Angela that he was part of a plan to rescue her, giving her hope.

The team, including Wesley and Grey, devised a plan to get Angela out of the compound by inducing her labour so that La Fiera would take her to the hospital. They knew that this was risky, but it was their best chance. The plan was successful, and Angela was able to escape her captors with the help of her colleagues. She even managed to turn the tables on La Fiera, shooting and killing her during their escape.

After a brief time jump, we see that Angela has given birth to a baby boy, whom she named Jackson after her former rookie, who had been killed during the abduction. Angela and Wesley returned home with their baby and were greeted by a party thrown by their LAPD friends. The final scene shows Angela at Jackson's grave, giving him an update on their lives and expressing how much she missed him.
