Creating an Amazon account

Adding items to your registry

Privacy settings
When creating an Amazon wedding registry, you have the option to choose your desired privacy setting, and you can change this at any time.
There are three privacy settings to choose from: "Private," "Shareable," and "Public." If your registry is set to "Private," only you and your co-registrant will be able to see it. If you select "Shareable," you can choose who you share the link with, allowing only those you choose to view it. Finally, if you select "Public," anyone will be able to search for your registry on Amazon.
Changing Your Privacy Settings
To change your privacy settings, go to your wedding registry page and select "Settings" from the menu at the top of the page. To start creating your Amazon Wedding Registry, go to the Wedding Registry home page, sign in or create an Amazon account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
You can mark items on your Wedding Registry for Group Gifting, which allows friends and family to contribute any amount toward items in the registry. This is how you do it:
Go to your Wedding Registry and select Settings. Check the Enable Group Gifting box and enter the dollar value for group gift-enabled items (the default value is $300). You can turn Group Gifting on and off for any item in your Wedding Registry or change the default dollar amount for items enabled for Group Gifting. Select Save Changes.
You will receive all Group Gift contributions in the form of an Amazon.com electronic Gift Card, which you can redeem to your Amazon.com balance to purchase the item. Items with Group Gifting contributions won't ship until purchased by the registry owner.
You can view Group Gift contributions by selecting the items in your Wedding Registry or by opening your Thank You List. You'll see the names and addresses of people who have contributed or bought items from your registry if your guests have opted to share their information. Each item enabled for Group Gifting has a dollar amount for contributions received so far and is marked 'fully funded' when you've received enough contributions to purchase the item.
If the price of an item is less than the amount contributed for the item, the remainder is applied to the primary registry owner's Amazon.com balance. If the price of an item, including taxes, shipping costs, and any applicable fees, is more than the amount contributed for the item, the registry owner must pay the difference.
